The UN’s sustainable development goals aim to create a more sustainable, equal and healthier global society. The 17 points covered by the goals are wide-ranging, and therefore it is important to be aware of which areas you can influence as an individual or as a company. We are halfway through the goals’ 15-year lifespan, and it is especially the companies, large and small, that can really make a difference. They have the resources, knowledge and skills to deliver specific and effective solutions. We as a society, which includes both individuals and companies, must live up to that responsibility, so that together we can create a safe and healthy world to live in for many years to come. In order to make a sustained effort, Trendlog has identified which goals we can impact through our customers who use our products.
Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
The Danish climate footprint was clarified for the first time in 2021; as a country we emit 61 million tons of CO2 per year, which means that each citizen emits approx.11 tons per year on average. The annual global CO2 emission is 33 billion tons. It is a global problem that must be taken care of, so that we don’t make the planet uninhabitable for ourselves.

Digitalization is the key
A barrier for many companies is the lack of digitalization that could allow them to track their CO2 emissions more accurately. Without this possibility it is very difficult to make an efficient effort to decrease their climate imprint.
If the development continues as it is now and we do nothing about it as a society, fatal consequences will follow. Climate change and the rising temperatures are consequences of the increasing emission of CO2. The task of lowering annual emissions applies both to individuals and to companies, for which various measures must be introduced in order for this to be possible.
Companies that are not yet ready to digitize are at a disadvantage, more so than those that are ready, as they will make a difference for the planet and for future generations.
What opportunities do you have?
Midsona Denmark A/S is a customer at Trendlog.io. They are using Data Collection from Trendlog at their factory, through which they have optimized their production by 20%. They have done this through digitization, and by developing their production they have made it more sustainable, because they would have reached the same production numbers, but it would have taken a higher number of resources and longer time. This optimization has an effect on the entire supply chain.
